Saving diseased and damaged teeth is prime importance to the Endodontists at Dental Specialty Center of Ft. Myers. In addition to their beauty, the functionality and structural integrity provided by your natural teeth are invaluable to your dental health. With advanced training in root canal therapy and skill in performing these delicate procedures, our endodontists can help you keep or restore your natural smile and good dental health even after disease or injury may have compromised the health of some individual teeth. Our endodontists’ skills are often called on by the Dental Specialty Center of Ft. Myers team when addressing full-mouth restorations or other involved challenges. Thanks to innovations in root canal therapy, our endodontists are routinely able to save teeth to ensure a natural appearance and ongoing functionality.
What is an endodontist?
Endodontists are dentists who have received an additional two years of training in diagnosis and root canal treatment from an advanced education program accredited by the ADA Commission on Dental Accrediation. They may have also received board certification from the American Association of Endodontists. This requires successful completion of written and oral exams along with an audit of the doctor’s patient history.
