Why Would I Need an Endodontist?

Why Would I Need an Endodontist?

The American Dental Association defines endodontics as a branch of dentistry that treats a tooth's pulp and surrounding tissues, often hidden under your gum line. These hidden parts of your teeth are called the root, and the inside channel or pulp contains blood vessels, soft tissues, and nerves.

Endodontists diagnose and treat complex causes of tooth pain. They can zero in on the cause of the tooth pain, and have several procedures they can perform to relieve your pain or discomfort. At Dental Specialty Centers of Florida, we can help revitalize and maintain your teeth and gums, giving you the smile you’ve always wanted through our experience, advanced technology, efficiency, and availability.

Experience

The team at Dental Specialty Centers of Florida is highly trained and specializes in endodontics or the treatment of the roots of your teeth. Where a general dentist may perform 1 or 2 root canals a week, your endodontists in Florida perform 25 root canals a week, or more! They take care of these special parts of your teeth all day, every day, and want to have the best options for treatment available for all of their patients.

Advanced Technology

Our specialty offices in Florida are equipped with the very best in endodontic treatment equipment to treat patients comfortably. We use state-of-the-art technology like operating microscopes, digital imaging, ultrasonic instrumentation, and fiber optics to treat our patients. Magnification and fiber optic illumination are helpful in allowing the endodontist to see the very tiny details inside your teeth. Often, a tiny camera is also used with the operating microscopes to take images of your tooth to further document any treatments. This advanced technology allows us to treat our patients at Dental Specialty Centers of Florida, and often makes getting a root canal treatment no more uncomfortable than having a dental filling!

Efficiency

At Dental Specialty Centers of Florida, we’re specialists! Because we limit our practice solely to specialty treatments, we can be efficient and precise. Our team of endodontists is certified and specialized, allowing them to become the very best at what they do! Their experience and total dedication to patient comfort and care allow them to give a level of service that gives their patients a positive experience and faster healing.

Because of this, our patients experience very few delays when it comes to treatment, and dental pain is relieved quickly!
